Administrative Technical Institute Holds Awareness Workshop on “Suicide Prevention: A Global Necessity”
The Administrative Technical Institute organized an awareness workshop entitled “Suicide Prevention: A Global Necessity.” The event was held by the University Psychological Counseling Unit in cooperation with the Department of Legal Administration Techniques and was attended by Professor Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, Dean of the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra, along with a number of staff members and students.
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Haneen Mahmoud Ibrahim, who highlighted the importance of raising awareness about the risks associated with psychological stress and the need to address such challenges through professional and evidence-based approaches. She emphasized that promoting a culture of seeking psychological support can contribute significantly to creating a safe and stable university environment that fosters academic success and personal well-being.
