Ministerial Committee Visits the Basra Administrative Technical Institute to Follow Up on the Establishment of a Polytechnic College
The Dean of the Basra Administrative Technical Institute, Prof. Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, welcomed a specialized ministerial committee during a field visit aimed at reviewing the institute’s academic and administrative capabilities and following up on the procedures for its transformation into a Polytechnic College
The visit included an inspection tour of the institute’s Deanship and academic departments, during which the committee reviewed the available infrastructure, classrooms, laboratories, and educational facilities, as well as the administrative and academic operations and the level of services provided to students
During the visit, the committee emphasized the importance of developing technical education institutions in line with labor market requirements and recent scientific advancements. It also commended the efforts of the institute’s administration and staff in supporting the educational process and enhancing its quality
For her part, Prof. Dr. Iman Askar Hawi welcomed the committee members and reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to providing all the necessary requirements for the successful implementation of the transition to a Polytechnic College. She highlighted the importance of this step in enhancing the quality of technical education and expanding opportunities for scientific and applied specializations in ways that serve both students and the wider community
The visit is part of the ongoing follow-up of plans to develop technical education institutions and support initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes and meeting the requirements of sustainable development
