The Administrative Technical Institute in Basra held a scientific workshop titled “Burnout: When the Heart Tires Before the Body,” organized by the Continuing Education Unit in collaboration with the Department of Business Management Technologies, in the institute’s Discussions and Seminars Hall.
The workshop, presented by lecturer Jehan Ali Fadel, addressed the concept of burnout as a contemporary psychological challenge in work environments, highlighting its main causes, symptoms, and negative impacts on professional performance, mental stability, and personal life, particularly under increasing pressures and multiple job responsibilities.
The workshop also covered practical methods and psychological strategies to prevent burnout and reduce its severity, emphasizing the importance of maintaining psychological and professional balance and promoting a culture of mental health care as a key factor in enhancing individual efficiency and improving institutional performance.
The workshop saw positive engagement from faculty members and staff, who praised the relevance and importance of the topic to the workplace, highlighting the need to continue organizing such scientific and awareness-raising events focused on mental health and the development of human capabilities in educational institutions.
