The Continuing Education Center at Southern Technical University hosted the British-Iraqi Business Council Conference, attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, along with deans of the university’s colleges, including Prof. Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, Dean of the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra, as well as representatives from the Council and prominent academic and economic figures.

In his speech, the university president emphasized the importance of strengthening international partnerships and highlighted the role of the conference in fostering collaboration between educational institutions and the economic sector, contributing to the development of academic capacities and the modernization of technical programs in line with global standards.

Conference sessions covered topics such as developing technical skills, supporting innovation, expanding training and employment opportunities for students and graduates, and exploring prospects for joint investment between the two sides.

The conference concluded with a reaffirmation of the importance of continuing such meetings and activating cooperation channels between the university and the Council, aiming to enhance the educational process and support economic development.
