A group of students from the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra launched a community humanitarian initiative aimed at promoting social solidarity and fostering a culture of support and volunteerism, particularly toward orphans and people with special needs.
The initiative included comprehensive awareness campaigns across all academic departments within the institute, through which the students encouraged their peers to engage in humanitarian work and actively participate in serving the community, while reinforcing values of cooperation and social responsibility.
It also involved organizing field visits to orphanages and centers for people with special needs, where students provided moral and practical support and brought joy to beneficiaries through various interactive and volunteer activities.
Additionally, the students organized a series of educational and awareness workshops focused on the principles of volunteer work, the importance of integrating people with special needs into society, and highlighting the role of youth in creating a positive and sustainable impact.
