The Administrative Technical Institute in Basra organized a workshop entitled “Protecting Human Rights Amid the Rising Phenomenon of Suicide”, held by the Human Rights Unit in collaboration with the Department of Legal Administration Technologies and delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ilham Umair Sahi.
The workshop addressed the humanitarian and social dimensions of the phenomenon, emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness and the role of educational institutions in providing a supportive environment. The event took place on Monday, 8/12/2025, in the Discussions and Seminars Hall, with attendance from both faculty members and students.
The session concluded with a call to continue awareness initiatives and support vulnerable groups, contributing to the protection of the fundamental human right to life.
