The Administrative Technical Institute in Basra<\/strong> organized an awareness workshop entitled \u201cElectronic Blackmail and Drugs: Security Challenges and Social Impacts,\u201d<\/strong> hosted in the institute\u2019s Seminars and Discussion Hall<\/strong>. The workshop was organized by the University Psychological Counseling Unit<\/strong> in cooperation with the National Security Officers Directorate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The workshop, delivered by a number of National Security officers, addressed the dangers of electronic blackmail and the spread of drug abuse, highlighting the serious security challenges and negative repercussions these phenomena pose to individuals and society. It also shed light on modern methods used in blackmail crimes, ways to prevent them, and the psychological, social, and health consequences of drug use.<\/p>\n

The speakers emphasized the importance of strengthening security awareness among students and staff, and underscored the role of educational institutions in promoting a culture of prevention and early reporting. They also stressed the need for close cooperation between security agencies and academic institutions to curb these dangerous issues.<\/p>\n

The workshop witnessed notable interaction from attendees through questions and discussions, which enriched the dialogue and contributed to achieving its awareness-raising objectives, reflecting the institute\u2019s commitment to supporting counseling programs and reinforcing concepts of community security.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
