The Psychological Counseling Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Materials Management, organized a workshop titled “Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism” on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Technical Administrative Institute – Basra.

The session was led by Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Qasim, with the presence of Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, Dean of the institute, along with faculty members and staff.

The workshop explored the causes and impacts of violent extremism, as well as strategies for combating it, aiming to promote awareness and reinforce a culture of moderation within the academic community.
