The Career Development and Employment Unit Holds a Workshop Titled “The Virus of Cheating: Cheating as a Means to Create a Generation That Does Not Read”
The Career Development, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Materials Management Technologies at the Technical Administrative Institute in Basra, organized a workshop titled “The Virus of Cheating: Cheating as a Means to Create a Generation That Does Not Read” on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in the institute’s conference hall.
The workshop was delivered by Ms. Zainab Hadid, who highlighted the dangers of academic dishonesty and its negative impact on the future of students and society. She stressed the importance of fostering values of honesty and perseverance to achieve sustainable education.
The event witnessed notable attendance, including Ms. Manal Abdulhamid Abdulmajid, Head of the Materials Management Technologies Department, alongside several faculty members and students. The workshop featured interactive discussions on ways to combat academic dishonesty and promote a culture of reading and self-learning. Practical suggestions were also proposed to improve the educational environment.
