Dr. Iman Askar’s Participation in the Southern Technical University Council Session
Dr. Iman Askar, Associate Dean of the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra, participated in the second session of the Southern Technical University Council for the academic year 2024/2025. The session was chaired by the President of Southern Technical University and held at the Nasiriyah Technical Institute, with the attendance of deans and council members.
The session was opened with a keynote speech by the university president, which highlighted the key plans and strategies for the new academic year, along with directives focused on improving the quality of education and enhancing the administrative and technical aspects across all university departments. During the meeting, various vital topics were discussed, including the introduction of new evening programs at some colleges and institutes, ongoing maintenance work for student dormitories, and discussions related to faculty promotions.
The session also addressed issues concerning graduate students, reviewing the requests submitted by students to ensure a conducive learning environment and enhance research standards at the university.
