Awareness Seminar at the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra: “Towards a Drug-Free Educational Environment”

Sponsored by the President of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs at the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra, the institute organized an awareness seminar titled “Towards a Drug-Free Educational Environment.”

The seminar was delivered by a distinguished group of National Security officers, who highlighted the health and social risks associated with drug abuse. They emphasized the importance of creating a safe educational environment that fosters positive values among students.

The event was attended by several faculty members and students from the Technical Institute, who actively participated with insightful questions and contributions that enriched the discussion. The role of education in combating drug addiction was thoroughly explored.

The seminar took place in the Discussions and Seminars Hall as part of a series of awareness activities organized by the institute. These initiatives aim to raise community awareness about the importance of combating drug abuse to ensure a healthy and safe educational environment that helps shape a conscious and responsible generation.
