As part of its commitment to spreading legal awareness and enhancing mutual understanding between international and national laws, the Legal Division of the Basra Technical Institute held a scientific symposium titled “Integration of International Humanitarian Law with National Laws.” The symposium was graciously sponsored by the esteemed President of the Southern Technical University and directly supervised by the esteemed Dean of the Technical Institute.

The symposium lecture was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Rajab Abdul Hussein Rajab. He discussed the importance of international humanitarian law and its role in protecting human rights, as well as how to adapt national laws to align with international standards. Additionally, he reviewed the major challenges facing this integration process and proposed solutions to overcome them.
