“The Administrative Technical Institute in Basra Holds Workshop Titled “Developing Graduates for Employment Opportunities in Oil Fields

As part of the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra organized a specialized workshop titled “Developing Graduates for Employment Opportunities in Oil Fields,” in cooperation with IGCC Company. The workshop was held within the framework of the institute’s continuous efforts to empower students and graduates and enhance their integration into the labor market, particularly in vital sectors with high employment demand

The workshop was attended by a number of students, graduates, and individuals interested in professional development. The sessions were delivered by Egyptian engineer Ahmed مفتاح, Human Resources Manager, and Ahmed Abdul Hussein, Head of the Human Resources Department at the company. They highlighted the key professional requirements and the technical and interpersonal skills needed for graduates seeking employment in the oil sector. In addition, they explained the mechanisms for applying and competing for jobs in oil fields according to the standards adopted by companies operating in this field

The workshop covered several important topics, including the development of technical and behavioral skills, professional CV preparation, and strategies for successfully passing job interviews. It also introduced participants to the nature of the working environment in oil fields, the professional challenges newly graduated employees may face, and effective ways to handle them with competence and professionalism

The organizers emphasized the importance of such specialized activities in bridging the gap between educational outcomes and labor market requirements.
