A Large-Scale Tree-Planting Campaign at the Southern Technical University to Promote Green Spaces
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, President of the Southern Technical University, the university launched a wide-scale tree-planting campaign aimed at expanding green spaces and fostering a culture of environmental awareness across the campus.
The campaign witnessed active participation from Professor Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, Dean of the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra, Professor Dr. Diaa Kamil Shari, Dean of the Technological Technical Institute, and Professor Dr. Firas Jamil, Dean of the Medical Technical Institute, along with a broad involvement of faculty members, students, and staff who all contributed to planting trees and enhancing the campus environment.
This initiative comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to create a healthy and sustainable educational setting, encouraging students and staff alike to value planting and greening for its positive impact on campus life, while also promoting environmental awareness and contributing to the betterment of society at large.
