Sponsored by the Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, President of the Southern Technical University, and under the supervision of Dr. Maher Talib Abdul Zahra, Head of the Center for Continuing Education, a consultative meeting was held on Monday, February 3, 2025, in the Continuing Education Hall, with the participation of the assistant deans of the university’s various faculties.
The meeting focused on enhancing the role of the Industrial Advisory Council and strengthening collaboration between academic departments and the Center for Continuing Education. The goal was to foster greater integration between educational institutions and the industrial sector. Participants also discussed the possibility of introducing new student assessment strategies to improve educational quality and align with modern academic and industrial requirements.
Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs at the Technical Administrative Institute in Basra, highlighted the significance of such meetings in creating a well-rounded educational environment that meets the evolving needs of the job market.
