Sponsored by the Southern Technical University and the Deanship of the Administrative Technical Institute, and under the supervision of Dr. Iman Askar, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized an awareness seminar titled “The Role of Digital Awareness in Enhancing University and Community Environments.” This seminar was part of Psychological Counseling Week, aimed at promoting digital culture and knowledge among students.

Engineer Sanaa Hassan Zabon, Head of the Studies and Planning Division, delivered an insightful lecture highlighting the significance of technology and the role of digital awareness in daily life. She shed light on the dangers of cyber extortion and the negative impacts of improper internet and social media use. She emphasized the importance of guiding students toward the positive utilization of these tools to enrich both university life and the broader community.

The seminar began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Iman Askar, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, who greeted the new students and encouraged them to strive for success and excellence. Ms. Huda Mohammed, Head of the Psychological Counseling Unit, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the need for student collaboration and overcoming psychological and academic challenges to achieve their goals.

The event was attended by several department heads, staff members, and students, who praised the seminar’s content and its role in spreading cultural and technological awareness.
