Sponsored by Southern Technical University and the Deanship of the Administrative Technical Institute: A Workshop to Foster University Student Success
As part of Psychological Counseling Week, held at the Administrative Technical Institute under the supervision of Dr. Eman Askar, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized a workshop on Thursday titled “University Beginnings: Steps Towards Success and Adaptation.”
The workshop was led by psychological counseling expert, Ms. Jihan Ali, who addressed key topics aimed at empowering students to achieve academic success and adapt to university life. She emphasized the importance of daily reading to stay engaged with the curriculum, fostering teamwork to overcome challenges, and building positive relationships between students and faculty. She noted that a student’s appreciation for their instructor often positively influences their understanding of the subject.
The session also highlighted effective time management, encouraging students to balance academic responsibilities with personal life. Ms. Ali stressed that mastering time management is a critical factor in achieving success. She also urged students to develop resilience and adapt to the new university environment to accomplish their academic goals.
The week concluded with a motivational speech by Mr. Amir Mahmoud, who encouraged students to embrace learning and knowledge while enhancing their skills by attending training courses that contribute to their academic growth. The head of the Psychological Counseling Unit also delivered a closing address, reaffirming the faculty’s commitment to supporting students and ensuring their academic success.
These initiatives align with the institute’s strategy to strengthen students’ skills and prepare them to face the challenges of university and professional life, reflecting the vision of Southern Technical University to advance educational excellence.
