The University Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Legal Administration, organized a seminar titled:
“An Overview of the Personal Status Law No. (1) of 2025: The Code of Sharia Provisions in Jaafari Jurisprudence within the Social and Family Context.”
The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Haneen Mahmoud Ibrahim and Assistant Lecturer Basim Mohammed Abdul-Imam, with the attendance of Prof. Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, Dean of the Institute, Dr. Jaafar Sadiq Al-Wazni, Associate Dean, and Dr. Omar Salah Al-Din Nouri, Head of the Legal Administration Department.
Also in attendance were Asst. Prof. Alaa Abdul-Zahra Jamagh, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division at the University Presidency, and Mr. Ali Mahmoud, Head of Student Activities at the Southern Technical University, along with a number of faculty members and staff.
The seminar aimed to raise legal and social awareness among students and staff, while shedding light on the impact of the Personal Status Law on family and community life.
