Basra Falls Silent in Honor of Genocide Victims
The Administrative Technical Institute Commemorates the Yazidi Massacre

This morning, Sunday, the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra held a solidarity moment of silence on the anniversary of the genocide against the Yazidis and other ethnic and religious groups. The event was organized under the directive of Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, President of the Southern Technical University, and supervised by Professor Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, Dean of the Institute.

The ceremony included a one-minute silence and a halt to vehicle movement around the institute, paying tribute to the victims’ souls and embodying the values of humanity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence within the community.
