Training Course on “Sustainable Development Goals” Held at the Administrative Technical Institute in Basra
Sponsored by Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, President of the Southern Technical University, and the supervision of Dr. Iman Askar Hawi, Dean of the Administrative Technical Institute, the Materials Management Techniques Department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training course titled “Sustainable Development Goals” from April 28 to 30.
The course was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Zainab Hadeed and covered various topics aimed at raising awareness about the concept of sustainable development and the 17 goals adopted by the United Nations, in addition to exploring ways to achieve these goals within educational and administrative contexts.
The event was attended by the department head and staff, and was held in the institute’s main conference hall. Participants showed high levels of engagement, emphasizing the importance of such courses in promoting a culture of sustainability and its practical applications in both work and education environments.
This course is part of a series of scientific activities through which the institute aims to develop the skills of its academic and administrative staff and support the university’s efforts to achieve sustainable development across multiple sectors.
